FAKELOVE OR TRUELOVE ❤️‍🩹 [CHAPTER - 3]

 Author's POV

The door was about to close when Taehyung’s hand shot out, stopping it with a sudden thud. Before Y/N could react, he pushed it open and stepped inside, his gaze locked onto her. No matter what she did, she knew she wouldn’t be able to stop him — he was stronger, faster, and more determined than ever.

Y/N’s brows furrowed in frustration, her voice rising.

"WTF is your actual problem? Why did you come into my apartment?" she snapped, her voice laced with disbelief and anger. Her expression twisted into a confused scowl as she stared at him.

Taehyung didn’t answer. His eyes were unreadable, a mix of something dark yet gentle. He took slow, deliberate steps toward her. Y/N instinctively moved back, but before she could escape, her back met the cold, unrelenting wall. He had cornered her — trapped her between his body and the wall, leaving her no room to escape.

Her heart pounded in her chest.

Y/n - Taehyung… what the hell are you—"

She froze mid-sentence as Taehyung leaned in without warning, pressing a soft yet firm kiss against her cheek. The warmth of his lips lingered, sending an unexpected jolt through her body. Y/N’s eyes widened in shock, her words dying on her tongue.

She couldn’t believe what just happened.

Taehyung pulled back, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips as he gazed at her stunned face.

Taehyung - You were saying something, baby?" his voice was low, teasing. "I already apologized. I know it was my fault, but you can't stay mad at me forever."

Y/N blinked, her mind racing. The smug look on his face made her snap back to reality. Her cheeks burned with both embarrassment and anger.

Y/n - What are you laughing at? Do you think this is a joke? Get out of here!" she barked, trying to push him away — but he didn’t budge.

Taehyung’s smirk only deepened.

Taehyung - I'm not leaving. Not a chance." His voice dropped to a whisper as he leaned in closer, their noses nearly touching. His hand caught her wrist, gently but firmly pulling her closer. Their bodies were almost flush against each other. "What were you saying, baby? 'Get out'... and what if I don’t? What are you gonna do then?"

Y/N swallowed hard, her throat dry. Her mind screamed at her to push him away, to yell at him — but her body betrayed her, frozen under his intense gaze.

Just as the tension reached its peak, Taehyung’s phone rang, shattering the moment. He sighed, reluctantly breaking eye contact to glance at his phone.

With an annoyed grunt, he answered.

Taehyung - Yeah, Jungkook, what’s up?"

Jungkook’s voice came through the receiver, sounding urgent.

Jungkook - Hyung, get to the company fast. You haven’t shown up for two days. Do you even know what’s happening here? Some files are messed up. We need you here now."

Taehyung sighed again, running a hand through his hair.

Taehyung - Alright, fine. Handle things for now. I’ll be there soon."

He looked back at Y/N, his expression softening. His voice lowered, tender this time.

Taehyung - Baby, I’ll be back. Take care of yourself, okay?"

Without warning, he leaned in and kissed her cheek again — slower this time, lingering just a little longer before pulling away. He gave her a final glance, his eyes holding something unspoken, and then he walked out, leaving her speechless.

Y/N stared at the closed door, still processing what just happened.

Y/n -"He didn’t even stay for a second longer…" she mumbled, touching her cheek where his lips had been. A small, involuntary smile tugged at her lips despite herself.*

Y/n - At least he realized he messed up."

She shook her head, giggling softly, unable to stop thinking about how effortlessly he had thrown her off guard.

In Russia - ? POV

The dimly lit room was quiet except for the faint hum of the city beyond the window. I sat at my desk, fingers tapping rhythmically against the wooden surface, lost in thought. Lee’s words replayed in my head, over and over again. Something wasn’t right. I needed answers — and fast.

My jaw tightened.

Reaching for my phone, I pulled up a photo and stared at it for a moment longer than I should have. Then, without hesitation, I forwarded it to a number and made the call.

The line clicked after a few rings.

"Hello?" Jimin’s familiar voice came through, lighthearted as always.

? - Hello, Jimin. I just sent you a photo of a girl. She’s in Korea. I need you to keep an eye on her and report everything about her to me. Got it?"

There was a pause.

Jimin - Huh? Am I dreaming, or did the sun rise from the west today? Why do you suddenly need information on a girl?" Jimin teased, though curiosity laced his tone.

I exhaled sharply, leaning back in my chair.

? - Just do what I said. You’re my friend — I trust you, and that’s why I’m asking you for this. I need to know everything about her."

The playfulness faded from Jimin’s voice.

Jimin - Alright, fine. It’s an easy task. But hey, when are you coming back? It’s been years since I last saw you."

My lips curved into a smirk.

? - Soon. Just wait a little longer, my friend. I’ll be there… very soon."

My voice dropped lower, the weight of my intentions hanging in the air.

? - For now, just give me the information I asked for. And Jimin — make sure she doesn’t get hurt. Not even a scratch."

There was a beat of silence before Jimin chuckled softly.

Jimin - Ohhh… looks like love is in the air, huh?"

I didn’t answer. My eyes lingered on the photo again.

? - Hmm… just focus on the job. This is important."

The call ended, leaving the room in silence once again. My eyes never left the photo.

Soon

Few hours later

(On call)

? - "Mr. Lee, come to my cabin. I have some important work for you."

Mr. Lee: "Yes, boss. I’m on my way."

A short while later, Mr. Lee stood outside the boss’s cabin, adjusting his suit. He took a deep breath, straightened his posture, and knocked firmly on the door.

From inside, a voice responded — steady and commanding."Come in."

Mr. Lee stepped in with a polite nod. His boss sat behind a large, polished desk, papers neatly stacked on one side, a cup of steaming coffee on the other. The room smelled faintly of leather and cologne, giving off an air of authority.

Mr. Lee: "Boss, you called me. What would you like me to do?"

The boss leaned back in his chair, studying him for a moment before speaking.

? -"Mr. Lee, I need you to book a ticket for next week. Destination: Korea. And make sure it’s South Korea, not North," he added with a sly grin, his voice light with amusement.

Mr. Lee couldn’t help but chuckle softly.

Mr. Lee: "Of course, boss. I’ll handle it immediately."

The boss nodded approvingly but didn’t stop there. His expression grew serious again.

? - "One more thing, Mr. Lee," he said, his voice low and deliberate. "Inform everyone there that their boss is coming. I want the whole team on alert — no slacking off. They need to be sharp and ready for work. Understood?"

Mr. Lee’s smile faded into a look of determination.

Mr. Lee: "Consider it done, boss. They should know it’s time to step up."

The boss exhaled slowly, his eyes drifting toward the window overlooking the city skyline. The sun was setting, casting a warm, orange glow over the buildings. His voice was quieter now, thoughtful.

? - Hmm… I suppose I’ll have to see for myself what’s really going on over there." He leaned forward, his eyes narrowing slightly. "I’m coming. Personally."

Mr. Lee nodded once more, understanding the weight of his boss’s words. Without another word, he turned and left the room, ready to carry out his orders. The sound of the door clicking shut left the boss alone with h

is thoughts — and his plans.

IN SEOUL

Y/N’s POV

The soft glow of my study lamp flickered as I sat in my apartment, buried under a pile of books and assignments. College was proving to be more challenging than I had expected, and this particular assignment was by far the toughest. But I wasn’t one to give up easily. I adjusted my glasses, took a deep breath, and continued scribbling notes when suddenly—

RINGRING

The sharp sound of my phone vibrating against the wooden desk startled me. My heart skipped a beat as I glanced at the screen. My breath hitched. This number…

A cold shiver ran down my spine. Why was I getting a call from there? From the very place I had run away from? My fingers trembled slightly as I reached for the phone. For a second, I considered ignoring it. But I knew better. Taking a deep breath, I answered.

Y/n - Hmm… Veer Bhai, why are you calling me? You know what will happen if someone finds out." My voice was calm, but inside, a storm was raging.

A familiar, warm voice responded from the other end.

VeerI'm sorry, sister, but you know how much you mean to me. I sent you far away only to keep you safe. I just wanted to hear your voice, to make sure you were okay."

His voice held worry, and for a moment, guilt pricked at my heart. I knew how much this distance hurt him. But it was necessary.

Y/n - I’m fine, Bhai. You don’t need to worry about me," I reassured him. "I just need to finish my studies here. After that… I’ll deal with everything. Because, after all, the only reason I came here was to escape from them."

I paused for a moment before adding in a steely voice, "And don’t think for a second that I’ve forgotten what they did to us."

A dangerous glint flashed in my eyes as I smirked slightly.

Y/n - Your sister isn’t weak, Bhai. I won’t let them win. But listen, don’t call me too often. Only when you’re sure no one is watching you."

There was silence on the other end, followed by a soft sigh.

Veer - I know, my sister. Alright, I’ll hang up now. Stay safe, and take care of yourself."

Yn -Don’t worry. You know exactly what kind of person your sister is," I replied with confidence.

A chuckle escaped him. "Okay, okay, I get it. Be careful." And with that, the call ended.

I stared at my phone for a moment before setting it down on the desk. My fingers curled into fists as a wave of determination surged through me.

Y/n - The real game has yet to begin… They started it, but I will be the one to finish it.".....
