A few minutes later…
After ending the call with her brother, Y/N glanced around cautiously before sneaking downstairs. The house was silent, the only sound being the faint ticking of the clock. She moved quickly yet quietly, her heart pounding with excitement. Reaching the garage, she pulled back the cover to reveal her secret companion—her beloved bike.
A small smile tugged at her lips as she ran her fingers over its sleek body. It had been too long since she last took it out for a ride. With practiced ease, she swung her leg over the seat, started the engine, and adjusted her helmet securely over her head. She made sure it covered her face completely—no one should recognize her tonight.
Y/N’s POV
"Let’s go, my little friend. It’s been so long since we had a night ride."
The roar of the engine filled the air as she accelerated down the quiet roads. The cool night breeze kissed her skin, sending a rush of exhilaration through her veins. This was freedom—speeding through the empty streets with nothing but the wind and the sound of her bike for company.
As she rode further into the city, she noticed a long line of vehicles ahead. A traffic jam this late at night? That was unusual. Slowing down, she pulled over slightly, trying to get a better view of what was causing the delay. And that’s when her breath hitched.
Through the tinted windows of a sleek black car, she spotted two familiar faces—Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jungkook.
Her grip on the handlebars tightened as her heart started pounding for a different reason now. What are they doing here? She wasn’t supposed to run into them. She needed to get out of there—fast.
Before she could maneuver her bike and escape unnoticed, Taehyung’s sharp gaze landed on her. Even through the slight darkness and her helmet, she could feel his eyes scanning her intently, as if trying to place her.
Taehyung: "Jungkook, look at that girl... I feel like I’ve seen her somewhere before."
Jungkook, who had been casually scrolling through his phone, barely glanced up before chuckling.
Jungkook: "Hyung, you probably saw her in your dreams. Now let’s go, it’s already too late to be out like this."
Taehyung hesitated for a second, still staring at her retreating figure.
Taehyung: "Hmm... maybe you’re right. Let’s go then."
Y/N let out a sigh of relief as their car moved forward. Without wasting another second, she revved her engine and sped away in the opposite direction, her heart still racing.
Meanwhile, in Russia…
A dimly lit office filled with the glow of multiple screens cast eerie shadows on the walls. The sound of fingers tapping against a desk echoed through the silence.
A phone rang.
Mr. Lee (on call): "Boss, tomorrow morning’s flight has been canceled."
A deep, composed voice responded from the other side.
??? "Hmm… I see. No matter. Prepare everything for departure. We will take my private jet instead. I want everything ready within the next few hours."
Mr. Lee: "Understood, boss. I will make sure everything is in place."
The call ended with a quiet click.
The mysterious figure leaned back in his chair, a smirk playing on his lips. "Finally, it’s time."
Two hours later…
In a private hangar, a luxurious jet stood waiting under the dim airport lights. A group of men, dressed sharply in suits, moved around, ensuring the final preparations were made.
A tall figure walked towards the plane, his presence exuding power and authority. His sharp eyes scanned the area briefly before he turned to Mr. Lee.
??? "Is everything ready?"
Mr. Lee: "Yes, boss. We can leave now."
The man gave a small nod before stepping onto the plane.
??? "Tell the pilot to take off immediately."
Mr. Lee: "Yes, boss."
Within moments, the aircraft engines roared to life. The pilot gave a signal, and the jet took off into the night sky.
Morning in Korea…
The private jet landed smoothly on the runway as the golden hues of dawn painted the sky. The door opened, and the man stepped out, taking a deep breath of the cool morning air.
A smirk tugged at his lips.
??? "So… I’m finally here."
At Y/N’s Apartment…
A sudden jolt woke Y/N from her sleep. Her breathing was uneven, and a strange sensation lingered in her chest.
Sitting up, she rubbed her temples, trying to shake off the feeling.
Y/N: "What kind of dream was that? It felt so real… like something—or someone—is approaching me."
She sat in silence for a moment, lost in thought. But then she shook her head, pushing away the uneasy feeling.
"Never mind. Let’s start the day."
Unaware of the storm that was about to enter her life.
Author’s POV
After landing, everyone leaves the airport and heads home. As soon as he reaches his mansion, the first thing he does is call Jimin.
V: "Jimin, come here quickly. I need to talk to you. I’ve arrived in Seoul and I'm at my mansion."
Jimin: "Wait, you’re here? And you didn’t even tell me? What kind of friend are you?"
V: "I didn’t have time to tell you everything. Just come over first, and I’ll explain everything."
Jimin: "Alright, I’m coming. Wait for me."
Somewhere in Seoul University (After 5 Hours)
Today, Y/N is extremely happy because she won her dance competition. But more than that, she is even happier about something else.
Sia: "Y/N, you danced so well! I’ve never seen such an amazing performance before."
Y/N: "Oh, thank you, Sia! Listen, you should go home now. I need to stop by the convenience store to get something."
Sia: "But it’s already quite late..."
Y/N: "You go home with Pihu. You had a headache earlier, right? Go and get some rest."
Sia: "Alright, I’ll leave. But come home soon, okay?"
(Y/N heads to the convenience store, and after a while, she comes out. As she walks ahead, a car suddenly speeds toward her, and before she can react, she faints on the spot.)
Author’s POV
After calling Jimin to his mansion, he was gathering all the information about Y/N. Once Jimin told him everything, he insisted that he should drop him home. So, he agreed, and they both got into the car. But just as they were driving, a girl suddenly appeared in front of their car and collapsed.
??: "Stay here, Jimin. I’ll go check what happened."
When V stepped out of the car, he saw that the girl's face was hidden behind her hair. But the moment he moved her hair Jimin drove in silence, his fingers drumming absentmindedly on the steering wheel as the soft hum of the engine filled the space between him and his companion. The quiet wasn’t awkward, but thick with something unspoken. Night had fully draped itself over the city, and streetlights cast long shadows across the windshield as they cruised through mostly empty streets.
Finally, the car rolled to a stop in front of Y/N’s apartment. The engine idled for a moment before Jimin turned to speak, but the words caught in his throat when he noticed V.
V wasn’t looking at the building or even registering that they had arrived. His eyes were locked on Y/N, who lay unconscious in the backseat. There was something unfamiliar in his gaze—soft, almost reverent. Jimin had seen V in countless situations: angry, ruthless, smug, even amused—but never like this. It was as if the world had faded away, and all that remained was her.
To break the silence, Jimin cleared his throat loudly and leaned back with a playful smirk tugging at his lips.
Jimin (grinning): “I’d only heard that love was in the air… but now I’m pretty sure I’m seeing it everywhere.”
He let out a light chuckle and shook his head in amusement. V didn’t respond with words, but his jaw tightened slightly. Jimin, unfazed, gestured toward the apartment door.
Then he said to V to take Y/N into her apartment.
Without a word, V stepped out of the car and gently opened the back door. He moved with quiet urgency, scooping Y/N up into his arms as if she were fragile glass. His grip was firm, yet tender—protective. Her head rested against his chest as he started up the stairs, his face unreadable but clearly focused. His expression held a kind of determination that spoke volumes about how much he’d already decided, long before this moment.
He already knew everything about her—every detail Mr. Lee had uncovered when V had asked for information. Her favorite café, the way she always wore mismatched socks, her daily routines, her circle of friends. V had committed every page to memory, studying her life as if it were the most important mission he’d ever had.
At least Mr. Lee managed to do one thing right, he thought to himself with a smirk that vanished as quickly as it appeared.
Once at the door, V shifted Y/N slightly in his arms and pulled out his phone. He quickly dialed a number and brought it to his ear.
V (on call): “Hello, this is V speaking.”
Sia (playfully): “Then I guess this is W speaking. Go on.”
V (sighing in frustration): “Ugh… I’m calling to tell you that your friend Y/N fainted on the road. I brought her back to her apartment. Please come quickly.”
Sia (worried): “Alright, Mr. V, please stay right there. I’m coming,” she replied, her voice laced with genuine concern.
V ended the call and looked down at Y/N, her breathing steady, her features calm. He knelt down slightly and whispered close to her ear.
V (softly): “Come fast, my baby… don’t wake up yet. Everything could go wrong if you see me now.”
Soon, Sia arrived at the building, slightly breathless from rushing. Her eyes scanned the area until they landed on V.
Sia: “Mr. V, is Y/N okay? Please tell me she’s alright. Nothing happened to her, right?”
V: “She’s fine,” he replied calmly. (And I won’t let anything happen to her either, he thought.)
Sia: “Please, bring her inside. This is her apartment.”
V nodded, carrying Y/N inside. He entered the dimly lit room and walked directly to her bedroom. There, he gently laid her down on the bed, his movements precise, as if placing a precious artifact in its rightful place. He adjusted the pillow under her head and stepped back slightly, gazing at her.
V: “I should go now. I have to be somewhere.”
Sia: “Thank you so much. You saved my friend… I’m really grateful.”
V: “Ah, it was nothing. It’s just something I had to do. We should all help others whenever we can.”
As Sia went to the kitchen to fetch some water, V stayed where he was, watching Y/N in silence. Then, slowly, he moved to her side again. He crouched down beside her, reached out, and pressed a soft kiss to her forehead.
V (whispering): “We’ll meet again soon, sweetheart. I’m leaving for now… but wait for my big surprise.”
Then, without hesitation, he leaned down and brushed a gentle kiss across her lips. It was brief but full of meaning.
Just as he rose, Sia returned to the room.
Sia: “Once again, thank you for saving her.”
V (with a smirk): “Oh, it’s nothing. That’s just what I do… and more. Okay, I’m heading out.”
With that, he walked to the door, descended the stairs, and slipped into the passenger seat of a waiting black car.
V: “Let’s go, Jimin. We’ve got more work to do. Straight to the secret place—you know where it is.”
Jimin (grinning): “Obviously. If I don’t know, who else would? I’ve been handling everything here while you were away.”
V: “Good. Now it’s time I remind some people of their true place.”
