ENEMIES TO LOVERS

Chapter - 3

"Truths Buried, Pain Unleashed"

As Taehyung was about to leave, the woman’s voice stopped him.

She stood there, holding a plate of food.

Lady: (softly) “Taehyung, if you don’t want to eat here, that’s fine. Take this plate to your room instead. Look, I made your favorite food.”

Taehyung’s anger flared. He stormed down the stairs, voice thundering.

Taehyung: (yelling) “Can’t you understand in one go? Stay away from me!”

Everyone stood up, shocked.

Mr. Kim: (firmly) “Taehyung, is this how you talk to your elders?”

Taehyung: (coldly) “Sir, please… don’t say anything.”

Mr. Kim: (angrily) “I will speak! You have no right to talk to your mother like this!”

Something snapped inside Taehyung. His voice rose in pain and fury.

Taehyung: (furious) “HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO SAY IT? SHE IS NOT MY MOTHER!”

Silence. Mrs. Kim’s eyes filled with tears, but she still tried.

Mrs. Kim: (softly) “Alright, fine. Even if you don’t consider me your mother, that’s okay… But at least eat something.”

Taehyung’s anger boiled over. He struck the plate from her hands. It crashed, food spilling everywhere.

Taehyung: (furious) “I DON’T WANT TO EAT!”

Without another glance, Taehyung stormed to his room, leaving the house in complete silence.

Jin: "TAEHYUNG!"

Jin's voice echoed through the house, but Taehyung ignored him, slamming his bedroom door shut.

Jin clenched his fists, anger boiling inside him. He turned to march toward Taehyung’s room, but before he could take a step, Mrs. Kim grabbed his wrist, shaking her head.

Jin: "Eomma, you won't stop me today. Taehyung has crossed the line, and I will tell him the truth!"

Mrs. Kim’s eyes widened in shock.

Mrs. Kim: "No, Jin! You must not do that!"

Jin scoffed, his voice filled with frustration.

Jin: "Why are you all hiding such a big truth from him? Don’t you think he deserves to know?"

His gaze shifted between Mr. and Mrs. Kim, demanding answers.

Mrs. Kim: "Because we don’t want him to be hurt. Right now, he releases his pain by being angry at us. But if he learns the truth… I’m afraid he won’t be able to handle it."

Jin’s eyes welled up with tears.

Jin: "Eomma, Taehyung and I both suffered through that painful past, but I know the whole truth, and I am fine. I was angry at you both, too, but after knowing everything, I understood. Taehyung will, too!"

Mrs. Kim shook her head desperately.

Mrs. Kim: "Jin, you saw the truth beyond that pain, but Taehyung… he was stuck in it for years. He lived in that hostel, isolated. For him, the past never ended. If he learns the truth now, he won’t be able to bear it. Please… don’t tell him."

Mr. Kim finally spoke, his voice heavy with guilt.

Mr. Kim: "Everything happening today is my fault."

But before he could say more, the grandmother intervened.

Grandmother: "No, it’s not just your fault. Yes, you made mistakes, but you regret them. Everything was going fine until… that incident."

Her voice cracked, and silent tears streamed down her wrinkled face.

Mrs. Kim gently took Jin’s hands in hers.

Mrs. Kim: "Jin, promise me… promise me you won’t tell Taehyung the truth."

Jin stared at her, his heart waging a war between love and truth. He jerked his hands away, shaking his head, and without another word, he turned and walked toward his room.

Mrs. Kim: "Jin!" she called after him, but he didn’t stop.

The grandmother sighed.

Grandmother: "I will talk to him."

With that, she followed Jin, while Mr. and Mrs. Kim silently retreated to their own room, burdened by the weight of their past.

Inside Taehyung’s Room

The loud slam of the door didn’t just lock him inside—it locked the entire world out.

He walked toward his wardrobe, opening a small hidden compartment where an old, dusty box lay. His hands trembled as he lifted the lid, revealing a collection of memories—letters, a bracelet, and a photograph.

He picked up the photo, his fingers gently tracing the face in it. His vision blurred as silent tears streamed down his face.

Taehyung: "Why does she come in front of me? Why does she pretend to care when she knows I hate her? Why does her voice remind me of everything I want to forget?"

His grip tightened around the photo as a fresh wave of anger and pain washed over him.

Taehyung: "I hate her. I hate her… and him. Everything is because of him."

His whispered words held a venomous truth only he understood.

Next Morning – The Jung Household

The first rays of sunlight peeked into Yn’s room, but instead of welcoming the morning, she buried herself deeper under the blanket.

The alarm clock rang mercilessly, but did Yn care? Absolutely not.

Yn: "Just five more minutes…" she mumbled, snuggling into her pillow.

But peace was a luxury she was never allowed.

With a loud BANG, the door burst open, and in came J-Hope, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

J-Hope: "WAKE UP, SLEEPYHEAD!"

Yn groaned, pulling the blanket tighter around her.

Yn: "Oppa, leave me alone!"

J-Hope smirked before snatching the blanket away.

J-Hope:"No way! Either you wake up, or I’ll pour ice water on you."

Yn sat up instantly, her death glare fixed on him.

Yn: "You’re the worst brother ever."

J-Hope: "And you’re the most annoying sister. Now hurry up, we’re leaving in 20 minutes."

(Author’s Note: Bechari Yn! Roz subah J-Hope ki wajah se horror movie ka scene repeat hota hai. Agar iska bas chale, toh alarm ki jagah bomb laga de.)

After freshening up, she threw on a stylish yet comfortable outfit and rushed downstairs.

Mrs. Jung: "Eat your breakfast properly, dear."

Yn sat down, but before she could even take a bite, J-Hope stole food from her plate.

Yn: "YAH! Eat your own food!"

J-Hope: "Yours tastes better."

Yn: "Because it’s mine!" she glared.

Finishing her breakfast, she grabbed her bag and stepped toward the car.

J-Hope: "So, ready for another Taehyung war today?"

Yn rolled her eyes.

Yn: "I don’t fight with him! He starts it!"

J-Hope chuckled.

J-Hope: "Sure, keep lying to yourself."

And with that, they drove off toward the university.

Next Morning – The Kim Household

Unlike the chaos in Yn’s house, the Kim household was drowning in silence.

Taehyung sat on the edge of his bed, staring blankly at the closed wardrobe. His mind replayed last night’s memories on an endless loop.

Dragging himself to the bathroom, he splashed cold water on his face and got dressed in an all-black outfit. His dark circles were evident, his face unreadable.

As he walked downstairs, Mrs. Kim hesitated before speaking.

Mrs. Kim: "Taehyung, have some breakfast before you leave."

He didn’t answer, simply walking past her toward the door.

Mrs. Kim: "Taehyung—"

Taehyung: "I’m not hungry."

His tone was cold, distant. The door clicked shut behind him.

Outside, Jungkook leaned against the car, grinning.

Jungkook: "Yo, ready for another chaotic day?"

Taehyung rolled his eyes.

Taehyung: "Let’s just get this over with."

Jungkook smirked.

Jungkook: "Let me guess—Yn pissed you off again?"

Taehyung clenched the steering wheel, jaw tightening.

Taehyung: "She always does."

"Time skip – One week later"

At Seoul University"

The classroom was silent… or at least it would have been if Taehyung and Yn weren’t busy waging war!

Yn: "Looking at you gives me acidity!"
Taehyung: "And looking at you gives me allergies!"

They were staring at each other as if they were trying to break a world record in a staring contest! Sometimes, they shoved notebooks onto each other's desks, sometimes they stole each other's pens, and sometimes… "Oops, my water spilled!" became their favorite excuse.

On one side, Jungkook and Hana were locked in their coffee collision rivalry.

Hana: "Stay away from me!"
Jungkook: "Do you think I enjoy taking coffee showers?!"

Meanwhile, Jimin and Sumi were in full cold war mode, pretending to ignore each other while secretly stealing side glances.

The professor knocked on the table, but Taehyung and Yn were still lost in their battlefield.

Professor: "Should I arrange a boxing ring for you two?"

The entire class burst into laughter!

That’s when Taehyung and Yn finally realized… they either had to stop or risk getting detention!

But then, the professor suddenly turned serious and said,
"I have an important announcement..."

The entire class fell silent.

But what is this announcement? Find out in the next chapter!

"I hope you like it"

What was the painful past of Taehyung?

Can you tell me who is in this photo?

"Something interesting is ahead for you."
