"Wife vs Husband: Round One"

The sleek black car pulled up slowly in front of the grand mansion. The iron gates opened with a creak as the security guard pressed the button, bowing respectfully while the car drove through the long, elegant driveway.

Inside, Taehyung sat silently, gazing outside the window with his usual unreadable expression.

Everyone else had already arrived earlier, but these two—Mr. and Mrs. "I-can’t-stand-you"—were fashionably late.

The car came to a halt right in front of the entrance.

Without wasting a second, Taehyung opened his door and stepped out gracefully, adjusting his suit and starting to walk toward the house without a backward glance.

Yn: (struggling to move in her heavy dress, annoyed) "Ugh—at least help me out of this damn car!" she muttered, loud enough for him to hear, but of course, Taehyung just kept walking like he hadn’t heard a thing.

She finally managed to get down with great effort, holding her dress up with one hand and her heels in the other. Her eyes narrowed as she watched his back.

Yn: (sarcastic mutter) "Prince Taehyung… walking like he's in a Gucci runway. So much for being 'husband'."

As she stepped inside, her eyes scanned the luxurious interiors—vintage chandeliers, golden railings, and the faint aroma of roses and mahogany.

And there he was. Going upstairs, humming softly to himself.

Yn: (whispering with a glare) "Tch. Humming? Must be nice to have no emotions after a wedding."

She stormed behind him, heels clicking with attitude.

He entered a spacious bedroom and sat down on a leather chair like it belonged to him since birth.

Yn followed in with a frown, looking around.

Yn: "Wait… is this my room too? Don’t tell me I have to live with you!"

Taehyung: (without even glancing at her) "You are my wife now. You didn’t expect a palace-sized separate room, did you?"

Her eyes landed on the single bed in the room. Her mouth fell open.

Yn: (dramatic gasp) "What the—Taehyung! There’s only one bed!"

Taehyung: (rolling his eyes) "Relax, drama queen. I already ordered another one. It’ll be delivered when the house is empty. We’ll join it during the day and separate it at night. Happy?"

Yn: (mocking) "Oh, wow. Look at you, Mr. Planner. Why don't you plan some manners too?"

She walked over to the bed and dropped onto it with a sigh.

Yn: "Ugh, I’m so done today. Mentally, emotionally, physically."

Taehyung raised an eyebrow and stood up.

Taehyung: "Excuse me? You’re sleeping on my bed like it’s yours?"

Yn: (turning to him with a lazy smirk) "Well, I don’t see your name written on it. And it’s our bed, Mr. Kim."

Taehyung: "Then go sleep on the couch. Princesses should be fine anywhere, right?"

Yn: (laughing sarcastically) "Me? On that tiny couch? Have you lost it? I’d rather sleep on the floor covered in glitter."

Taehyung just stared at her, his jaw tightening.

Without waiting, she grabbed a pillow, walked toward the couch—and suddenly smirked.

Yn: (fake sweet tone) “Actually, I’ve got a better idea.”

She turned around and flung the pillow directly on Taehyung’s face.

Yn: (sassy tone) “Go sleep on the couch. Because tonight I rule the bed!”

Taehyung froze, the pillow hitting him square on the face. He blinked once… twice… and then, war was declared.

Taehyung: (growling) “Big mistake, princess.”

He picked up another pillow and launched it like a missile straight at her, hitting her shoulder.

Taehyung: “That bed’s mine. You’re the guest here. So back off!”

Yn: (dodging) “Guest?! Excuse me?! This ring on my finger says otherwise!”

Taehyung: “Oh, please. Just because we’re stuck in this circus doesn’t mean you own the tent.”

Yn: (taunting) “You’re the clown here, not me!”

He threw another pillow. She ducked and flung one back.

Then came the real war.

Both started throwing whatever their hands could grab—pillows, cushions, a rolled-up blanket, even Taehyung’s hoodie from the chair.

Taehyung: (yelling) “If you throw that one more time, I swear I’ll throw you off the balcony!”

Yn: (laughing) “Go ahead! I’ll haunt your dreams!” ke se

Taehyung: “Jab tak tum ho, nightmares to free me hi mil rahe hain!”

Yn: “Good! I hope you scream in your sleep tonight!”

The final blow came when one overstuffed pillow burst mid-air, showering them both in a cloud of white cotton.

Feathers, cotton—sab jagah bikhar gaya tha.

The elegant room now looked like a snowstorm had hit it. Sofas were upside down, books fallen, and even a lamp slightly tilted.

Yn stood on one side of the bed, hands on her waist, face red from anger and the flying fluff.

Yn: (warning tone) “Touch the bed again and I’ll duct tape you to the couch.”

Taehyung: (dead serious) “You try, and I’ll sleep on the bed diagonally just to piss you off.”

Yn: “I’ll sleep on you just to make it worse.”

Taehyung: (stepping forward) “Try me.”

They both stood facing each other, breathing heavy, cotton still falling around them like confetti of war.

Yn: (grabbing a pillow again) “Last chance. Couch.”

Taehyung: (grabbing his too) “Over my dead body.”

Another pillow flew.

Yn screamed as she threw a half-burst pillow straight at Taehyung’s face,
“GO sleep on the couch! I’m the queen of this bed tonight!”

Taehyung caught another pillow and hurled it back,
“Dream on, Your Highness. This is my palace!”

Feathers exploded mid-air. They started picking up whatever came in their hands—cushions, clothes, even a small teddy bear—and flung them like warriors.

Just then… the door creaked.

Mr. Kim, Mrs. Kim, Jin, Soojin, and Grandmother stood at the entrance.

They all looked… shocked.

The room looked like a cotton factory had exploded. Pillows were dead. Bedsheets were missing. A sock was dangling from the ceiling fan.

Jin: (to Soojin, whispering) “And we thought their first night would be romantic…”

Soojin: giggles uncontrollably

Grandmother: (shouting) “YA! What is happening here?!”

Both froze in their places—Yn still holding a half-torn pillow, and Taehyung mid-pose, like a statue in war.

Grandmother: (stepping inside, hands on her waist) “Do you two think this is a zoo?! Or did you mistake your wedding night for Holi?!”

Taehyung muttered under his breath, “She’s scarier than I remembered…”

Grandmother: (pointing finger) “Don’t whisper! I can still hear, young man!”

Yn quickly dropped the pillow like it was illegal.

Grandmother: (sighing dramatically) “I was hoping to hear laughter from this room tonight. Some romance maybe. But what do I get? PILLOW WARS?”

Mrs. Kim: “Eomma… maybe we should just clean—”

Grandmother: (cutting her off with a wave) “No. These two will clean it. And they’re not allowed to sleep tonight!”

Taehyung & Yn: (together) “WHAT?!”

Grandmother: (strict but sweet voice) “Yes. Consider this your punishment. You’ll stay awake. Clean every single feather. And if either of you tries to sleep… well, let’s just say even the ghosts of this mansion will be scared of me!”

Mr. Kim: (whispered) “She’s serious…”

Jin: (laughing silently) “First night memory unlocked.”

As the family left chuckling behind, Grandmother gave one last deadly glare and then smiled sweetly at Mrs. Kim.

Grandmother: (to herself, chuckling softly) “These kids… I swear…”

The door closed, leaving Taehyung and Yn standing like two kids caught stealing candy.

Yn: (whispers) “Told you we shouldn’t have fought…”

Taehyung: “You started it!”

Yn: “You threw the teddy bear first!”

Taehyung: “Well… I regret nothing.”

And the cleaning… began.

Taehyung and Yn exchanged deadly glares, their eyes locked in a silent battle of dominance. Without saying a word, Taehyung turned on his heel and walked towards the washroom. The door shut behind him, and the tension in the room hung heavy.

A few minutes later, Taehyung returned, dressed in comfortable clothes. He glanced at Yn, who, not to be outdone, also walked towards the washroom. When she returned, she too was in her relaxed attire, standing tall as if silently declaring, "I’m ready for this."

Their eyes met again, both glaring at each other with the same intensity, as though they were the only two people in the world. The room, filled with the weight of their unspoken rivalry, seemed to echo the silent clash between them.

Taehyung broke the silence, his voice calm but assertive. "This side is mine, and that side is yours."

With that, both of them began cleaning up, their actions sharp and purposeful, but still, there was an undeniable tension in the air. As the minutes passed, the room slowly transformed. What had once been a mess was now spotless.

Yn stood to one side, her hand resting on her waist, her posture firm. Taehyung, on the opposite side, continued his task, occasionally glancing at her. There was no warmth in their stares, only a deep rivalry that neither was ready to let go of.

The silence stretched on, but the room was finally clean, and so was the rivalry—still burning, still fierce.

Yn was standing on one side of the room, her hand resting on her waist, while Taehyung stood on the other side, gazing at her. Slowly, he began to take steps towards her.

Yn noticed him and thought to herself, "Why is he coming towards me? Is he going to take revenge? Is he going to kick me? Come on, Yn, get ready to show your kung fu."

Taehyung continued walking closer.

Yn: (stepping back, spoke) "Why are you coming towards me?"

Taehyung didn’t say a word and continued walking, getting closer. Yn kept backing up until she collided with the wall. Taehyung placed his hand on the wall, trapping her.

Yn: (stammered) "W-what...what are you doing?"

Taehyung: (smirked) "What do you think?"

Yn, in a commanding tone, said, "Stay away from me!"

Taehyung: "But why should I?"

Yn: "I told you, stay away!"

Taehyung: (smirking, responded) "How can I stay away? Besides, we have to stay awake all night today, and it's our first night together, so why not celebrate?"

Yn: (shocked, stuttered) "W-what are you saying?"

Taehyung: "Exactly what you heard."

Yn's mind raced, her breath caught. She thought, "If he does anything tonight, his dead body will be in the hospital tomorrow."
