"From Pillow Fights to Zombie Morning"
Taehyung moved even closer, and Yn squeezed her eyes shut, preparing to throw a punch. But then, Taehyung suddenly stepped back, and started laughing.
Taehyung (with a teasing smirk, arms folded): "Biggi Billi."
Yn (clenches her fists, eyes widen in disbelief): "You bastard! If you hadn’t moved back just now, your 32 teeth would’ve been lying all over this floor!"
Taehyung (chuckles confidently, stepping forward slightly): "You couldn’t even move an inch, and now you're going to break my strength? Wild cat!"
Yn (furiously grabs the nearest pillow and throws it at him): "You—!"
Taehyung (calmly catches the pillow mid-air with one hand, raising his eyebrow): "Hold on. If you mess up this room again, you’ll be the only one cleaning it."
Yn (pauses, realizing he’s right, then dramatically puts the pillow down with a sigh, flipping her hair): "Fine. I forgive you this time. But if you ever pull a stunt like that again, I won’t forgive you."
Taehyung (mockingly, with a laugh): "Wow, look at her… now she’s the merciful one. Big words from a wild cat."
Yn (grits her teeth, yells suddenly): "KIM TAEHYUNG!"
(Silence falls. Yn immediately slaps her hand over her mouth, eyes wide with panic.)
Yn (whispering to herself, anxious): "Why did I shout so loud? Oh god… the family must’ve heard everything!"
Taehyung (leaning casually against the wall, enjoying her reaction): "Relax, drama queen. The room is soundproof. Earlier the door was open, that’s why voices went out."
Yn (letting out a deep relieved breath): "Oh… okay."
Taehyung (groans, rubbing his neck, annoyed): "Now we have to stay awake all night. And this is all because of you. If you had just slept on the couch, we wouldn’t be in this situation."
Yn (crossing her arms, with a sharp glare): "Why should I sleep on the couch? You go to sleep there."
Taehyung (lets out an exaggerated "Ahhh" sound and slumps down on the chair, arms dangling dramatically): "Unbelievable..."
Yn (plops down on the couch, still glaring, mutters under her breath): "You’re lucky I didn’t break your face today..."
The whole night, Taehyung and Yn silently kept blaming each other in their heads.
Taehyung sat on the chair, switching positions over a hundred times.
Yn sat on the couch, tossing and turning — one moment facing left, the next facing right. Sometimes she’d walk a little, then sit again, all while fuming.
And to make it worse, their phones had been confiscated by Grandma, so no escape there.
Every time they accidentally looked at each other — instant death glares.
That's how the entire night passed… in restless silence and inner war.
Next Morning…
The sky outside was barely tinted with hues of orange and purple — a quiet, peaceful dawn. But inside that room, two souls were anything but peaceful.
Both were still awake, staring blankly at the wall in front of them, their eyes half-dead.
The silence was almost deafening until...
Suddenly, the alarm rang — sharp and cruel.
Yn (groaning): "Why are you ringing? We already did your job all night!"
Her voice was hoarse with fatigue, eyelids begging to close. She sighed — a deep, defeated exhale that held the weight of an entire sleepless night.
Yn: "Now we have to go to university too..."
Dragging themselves like lifeless puppets, both made their way to the bathroom. Every step felt like carrying a mountain on their shoulders. Water splashed, clothes were worn, but not a trace of energy was gained.
They walked down the stairs — or rather floated like ghosts, feet barely making a sound, eyes dull, hearts slower than usual.
As soon as they entered the dining area, the sight was almost comical. They looked like zombies from a low-budget horror film — dry lips, sleepy faces, and the aura of pure exhaustion.
Jin, sitting at the table, bit his lower lip hard, trying — and failing — to suppress his laughter. His eyes sparkled mischievously as he watched their miserable condition.
They somehow reached the table and sat down, the chairs creaking under the weight of their sleepy bodies. Their eyes were half-closed, blinking slowly as if even that was too much effort.
Soojin served breakfast with a slight smirk, clearly enjoying the dramatic early-morning scene.
Yn lifted her spoon, struggling against gravity, brought it in front of her mouth...
…and then—
She fell asleep, mid-air, the spoon still trembling in her hand.
On the other hand, Taehyung gave up the fight altogether. He leaned, head heavy, and rested it on Jin's shoulder like a sleepy five-year-old — soft, helpless, and absolutely done with life.
Grandmother, who had been quietly observing this circus, finally raised an eyebrow.
Grandmother (raising an eyebrow): "Aren’t you both going to university today?"
Like a thunderbolt, her words hit them.
Both snapped out of their half-sleep instantly, jerking up straight in their seats — like school kids caught napping during the principal’s speech. Eyes wide open, back straight, hands in their laps.
It was a battlefield of breakfast, and they’d just been caught unarmed.
After the breakfast scene…
The sun was now fully awake, but they still weren’t.
Taehyung and Yn somehow managed to keep their eyes open. They stepped out of the house like two exhausted soldiers heading into war — slow, dragging footsteps, shoulders slumped, breaths deep and heavy.
The car ride was pin-drop silence. No music, no chirping birds, just the occasional bump of the road and the sound of their own regrets.
Taehyung (murmuring): "I look like a zombie..."
Yn (sarcastically): "You always do."
Her tone was as flat as her energy — but the sass still managed to shine through.
Taehyung: "At least I don't snore like a pig."
He threw the words lazily, eyes still half-closed, yet his ego wouldn't rest even when his body begged for it.
Yn (deadpan): "I wasn't even sleeping, idiot."
The car stopped in front of Seoul University.
As they walked in, the bright sun mocked their dark circles and dead expressions.
As Taehyung and Yn walked sluggishly through the university corridor, Jimin, Jungkook, Hana, and Suemi spotted them.
Jimin (raising an eyebrow): "Did you guys even sleep last night?"
Jungkook smirked: "Sleep? Are you kidding? It was their first night after all."
Hana (teasing tone): "Yn, are you okay? I mean… walking fine? No pain or anything?"
Yn and Taehyung turned their heads at once, voices in perfect sync—
Taehyung & Yn: "SHUT UP!"
The group burst into laughter.
Suemi (giggling): "Ooo... Looks like something really happened."
Yn (annoyed but too tired to shout): "Ugh, nothing happened! Let me just tell you what actually went down—"
She and Taehyung then gave a whole dramatic breakdown of their sleepless punishment night — the stolen phones, the death glares, the tossing, turning, and chair acrobatics.
By the time they finished, Jungkook had tears in his eyes from laughing, Jimin was leaning on the wall for support, and Hana and Suemi were literally wheezing.
Jimin (wiping tears): "You two are seriously a live comedy show."
Taehyung (grumbling): "Next time, I'm sleeping on the roof."
Yn: "Good. I’ll lock the door from inside."
Jungkook (laughing): "Please do! And record it too."
The classroom was filled with low murmurs and casual chatter as students settled into their seats. Some were busy gossiping, some scrolling through their phones, and a few already dozing off on their desks. The sunlight filtered through the wide glass windows, giving the room a soft, warm glow.
Suddenly, the door creaked open.
Professor entered. His presence immediately demanded attention — the murmurs died down as all eyes shifted toward him. He walked in with his usual calm but firm demeanor, holding the attendance sheet.
Professor: “Let’s begin with attendance.”
One by one, names were called and students responded with either lazy "Present, sir" or a simple hand raise.
After finishing, the professor looked up with a slight smile.
Professor: “There’s an announcement.”
Everyone straightened up a little. Some looked at each other, confused.
Professor: “The university has planned a trip. From what I’ve heard, the location is absolutely beautiful — it’s right in the middle of a forest, surrounded by mountains and rivers.”
Students (in unison): “Really, sir?!”
Professor (nodding): “Yes. And whoever wants to go, write your name on the list. Rika, you collect all the names and give the list to me in my cabin after lunch.”
He paused and looked around the class.
Professor: “Also, give your names today itself. Because the trip is tomorrow.”
The class gasped a little with excitement, and then the murmuring began again, this time louder.
Professor: “Alright, now let’s get back to studies.”
Time passed and the professor eventually wrapped up the lecture and left the class.
Hana (turning to Yn): “Yn! Let’s go on this trip! It sounds amazing!”
Sumi: “Yes! The way sir described it — woah! I want to see that place.”
Yn (smiling softly): “Okay, let’s go.”
On the other side of the class—
Jungkook: “Taehyung, Jimin — let’s go too! It’ll be fun.”
They exchanged glances.
Taehyung: “Hmm… why not.”
Jimin: “Yeah, let’s do it.”
Kim Mansion – Evening
As Yn stepped into the mansion, a wave of quiet tension greeted her. The golden lights of the living room flickered gently, casting soft shadows on the walls. Everything looked elegant, warm — yet the atmosphere felt oddly heavy.
Taehyung walked ahead, silent and unreadable.
On the couch, Grandmother sat comfortably, wrapped in a knitted shawl. Mrs. Kim was sitting beside her, her fingers fidgeting with the edge of her dress, while Soojin sat quietly to the side, scrolling through her phone.
The moment Grandmother spotted Taehyung, her face softened.
Grandmother: “You’re back, finally.”
Without a word, Taehyung walked over and bent down to hug her. For a brief second, his features relaxed — a rare tenderness flickered in his eyes.
Yn watched, slightly surprised. So, he does know how to care…
As he stood and turned toward the stairs, Mrs. Kim hesitated and finally spoke, her voice careful.
Mrs. Kim (nervously): “Taehyung... have something to eat, dear...”
But whatever warmth had touched his face earlier vanished in an instant.
Taehyung (coldly, without looking at her): “How many times do I have to say it? Please don’t talk to me. I’m not hungry.”
Yn’s eyes widened slightly as he disappeared up the stairs.
Yn (to Grandmother, confused): “Why did he speak like that to Eomma…?”
Grandmother's smile faded a little. Her voice turned firm.
Grandmother: “That’s not something you need to know. Go to your room, Yn.”
Feeling a little awkward, Yn quietly nodded and walked upstairs.
