After wrapping up her hacking work, Y/N decided to take some rest. She was exhausted. Time passed quickly, and soon, night fell. She freshened up and checked her phone—only to be shocked by the number of missed calls from Taehyung. Without wasting a second, she quickly dialed him back.
Y/N (on call): Hello, Taehyung… Did you call me? I’m so sorry, I didn’t hear it. I was working… it was really important.
Taehyung: Forget all that. Think about what to do now. My mom said it’s high time you got married. You're not getting any younger.
Y/N: What? What are you saying? How can we decide something like this so suddenly?
Taehyung: That’s exactly what I said. But I told her I’ll only marry the one I love… So will you marry me?
Y/N: Yes, of course, I will… but isn’t this too sudden?
Taehyung: Let’s not talk about sudden. If I don’t listen to her, she’ll marry me off to someone else!
Y/N: No! That won’t happen. I won’t let it.
Taehyung: Baby, then please come in the evening. My mom really wants to meet you.
Y/N: Alright. I promise, I’ll come.
(She ends the call)
Taehyung: Am I doing the right thing by rushing into this? Maybe I should’ve talked more with Mom… but she’s my mother. I’ll obey her—at least this much I can do for her.

On the other side:
Y/N: Please forgive me, Veer Bhai. I’m making such a big decision without telling you… but what can I do? I love him too much.
Sometime later, Sia enters Y/N’s apartment.
Sia: Y/N, what’s up? Why are you lost in such deep thought?
Y/N: Nothing really… Just thinking about marriage.
(She says casually)
Sia: Oye! Did you bump your head or what? What nonsense are you talking? You want to get married now?! Are you out of your mind?
Y/N: Nothing happened to me, I’m perfectly fine. You know Taehyung, right?
Sia: Yeah, I know… your love ofcourse
(She teases)
Y/N: (Blushes hearing that) So… his mom said he should get married soon.
Sia: Is his mom crazy? Why so soon?
Y/N: Yeah, so Taehyung said he’ll only marry the girl he loves. That means me.
Sia: Well, that’s sweet.
Y/N: It is… but I said yes without even telling my brother. If I do, he’ll leave everything and come back here. And then it’ll all be ruined.
Sia: You’re right about that. So, what are you going to do now?
Y/N: I’ve decided. I’ll get married. Without telling my brother. I’m going to meet Tae’s mom this evening.
Sia: Do whatever you want. I’ll always support you. I know you can never be wrong.
Y/N: Thank you, bestie. You’re the best… seriously, the best!
Sia: Oh, I know that. But there’s still time till evening. Let’s go out!
Y/N: Sure! Let’s head to that new café nearby.
They both leave for the café, which was just ten minutes from their home, unaware that someone was following them in a car. Of course, you guessed it right—it was him.
V: Sweetheart, how long do you think you can run from me? One day, you’ll come back to me. I know this cruel world will hurt you… and I can’t bear to watch that.
On the road, Y/N and Sia are walking, chatting casually.
Sia: Look! There’s the café. Come on, let’s go inside.
Y/N: Yes! I can’t wait to try the food here.
V watches them from a distance, smiling coldly.
V: You’re far too innocent for this world.
(He says as he watches Y/N’s cute antics)
Inside the café:
Y/N and Sia sit at a table.
Sia: What do you want to order, Y/N? Come on, tell me!
Y/N: Hmm… okay, wait. Tteokbokki, ramen, mochi, jjangmyeon, and sushi… that’s all.
Sia: That’s all? I didn’t know “all” could be so much!
Y/N: Ha-ha, fine. Now hurry up and order for yourself!
Sia places her order, and both girls enjoy their meal. V sits nearby, quietly observing them.
As they’re about to leave, a crashing sound is heard.
Waiter: Are you blind or what? Look what you’ve done! You spilled everything—and ruined my clothes too!
Y/N: I’m sorry, I didn’t do it on purpose…
Waiter: You think a “sorry” is enough to fix everything?
Y/N: I said sorry! Don’t you understand?
Manager: This isn’t a market! Get them out of here!
Y/N starts getting angry, but Sia calms her down and leads her outside.
V (angrily): How dare he talk to my doll like that? I won’t let this slide. I’ll destroy him—
and this café. Just wait and watch. You all are my puppets… and I am your king.
(He says with a dark smirk)
